Cris Collinsworth saw it coming.
The NBC analyst predicted the Seahawks' biggest offensive play of the 2026 season opener against the Patriots just seconds before it happened.
With Seattle facing fourth-and-1 in the fourth quarter Wednesday night at Lumen Field, Collinsworth pointed out the matchup involving wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
"This is one of the few times you're going to probably get JSN or one of these guys, one-on-one," Collinsworth said on the NBC broadcast. "Do you want to take a shot here?"

The Seahawks did exactly that.
Quarterback Drew Lock took the snap and found Smith-Njigba behind the Patriots' defense. Smith-Njigba broke free for a 45-yard touchdown, and Jason Myers tied the game with a successful extra point early in the fourth quarter.
Collinsworth's prediction was particularly notable given the situation. Seattle needed only one yard to extend the drive, but instead took a shot downfield to its star receiver.
Smith-Njigba made the most of it.
The touchdown helped spark Seattle's comeback in its 13-10 victory over New England in the rematch of Super Bowl 60. Lock entered the game after quarterback Sam Darnold suffered an injury on the first drive, but the backup QB delivered the game-changing throw when his team needed it most.
Collinsworth's call was almost as impressive as the play itself.
