Buffalo Bills bring back fan-favorite stadium feature for NFL regular-season home opener

The Buffalo Bills are set to play their first regular-season game in the new Highmark Stadium in a little less than two weeks.
It’s a beautiful new stadium and will be packed when the Bills take on the Detroit Lions on Sept. 17. It will also bring back a popular feature fans love: red end zones.

This news has Bills fans on social media fired up.
“LOOOOOVE it. Should be permanent. They should have also rocked the 90s alts for the opener and leaned into the “Remember the Past, Embrace the Future” slogan. But what do I know?” one fan posted.
“Legit question: Since it’s so obvious Bills fans overwhelmingly love the red end zone (evidenced by the poll the Guelli put up himself), why not make it the permanent end zone look? Feels like an easy layup to throw the fans a bone here—especially given all the early issues that’ve been at the forefront,” another post read.

Kickoff for the Bills’ home opener against the Lions will be at 8:15 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime Video. It will be Prime Video’s first “Thursday Night Football” broadcast of the season.
