Ferrari Reveals Spectacular Livery in Honor of Michael Schumacher for Italian GP

Scuderia Ferrari has unveiled a special livery in a tribute to Michael Schumacher after teasing the same, for their home F1 Italian GP at Monza.
For several days, Ferrari has been teasing a livery inspired by seven-time F1 champion Schumacher for the home Italian GP at Monza. It revealed the race suits and merchandise leading into the weekend incorporating seven stars, denoting the seven world championships won by the German. On Tuesday, they unveiled the full-spec livery on SF-26, with the seven stars.

How’s the special Ferrari F1 livery
It is a full red livery with white on the front and rear wings, shedding away the white on the engine cover. They also have the name ‘Michael Schumacher’ inscribed on the engine cover beside the old-school styled drivers’ race number. The wheel rims are also coloured in gold to denote the championship wins of the German.
With the special livery, Ferrari is honouring Schumacher’s first win – 30 years ago – with the Italian outfit in 1996. The year 2026 also marks 20 years since the last time the German raced for the team in 2006.
Both Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc already completed a photoshoot in the new race suits, merchandise and also with the SF-26 in its special colours for Italian GP. It is Schumacher’s legacy that the Brit is trying to emulate, taking back Ferrari to the top just like his hero did back in time when he joined the team, who were struggling for performance.
Schumacher’s numbers
Schumacher has scored 72 wins with Ferrari from the 91 wins he has till date. After winning his first two F1 world championships with Benetton in 1994 and 1995, the German eventually started a streak of title victories from 2000 until 2004, to secure seven championships – a feat which remains unbeaten till now, with Hamilton also tied with him at seven.
