The 2026 season was originally set to be the final year of Sanchez's deal, but the extension added two more years to his contract, keeping the punter in Indianapolis through the 2028 season.
Per OTC, the extension is worth $7.0 million in new money with $2.5 million fully guaranteed and $3.5 million in total guarantees.
Sanchez's $2.5 million base salary for 2026 is fully guaranteed; he can then earn an additional $1 million in per-game roster bonus in 2027. His salary is only guaranteed for the 2026 season.
