Harrisburg Academy 3, Williams Valley 0
Williams Valley boys soccer started their season with 3-1 loss to Harrisburg Academy Friday afternoon in a non-league game.
Harrisburg Academy got on the board in the 26th minute on a Prajwal Mishra goal before Cullen Conner added a second nine minutes later on a penalty kick.
The Vikings’ got on the board one minute later as Joe Rautzahn scored to make it a 2-1 game before Harrisburg Academy iced the game late in the second half with a goal from Sebastian Joya.
Next up for Williams Valley is a home matchup against Schuylkill Haven next Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.

Schuylkill Haven improved to 5-0 both overall and in league play with a victory on Thursday defeating Marian (4-2, 3-2) for a second-straight day on Thursday 310-354 at Schuylkill County Club.
Eli Barton led the Hurricanes with a 73, Alan Evans recorded a 76 while Giuliana Hughes finished with a 80 and Chase Maley an 81.
For Marian, Carter Grant finished with a team-best 81 while Collin Yurkanin recorded a 90, and Brayden Grant a 91. Gavin Zolat and Derek Yurkanin finished the day with scores of 92.
Lourdes 364, Nativity 376
In a non-league matchup at Indian Hills Golf Course, Our Lady of Lourdes Regional (4-3, 3-3) defeated Nativity (2-4, 2-3) 364 to 376.
Vivian Reiprish led the Raiders with an 81 while Walker McGinley recorded an 85. Ryan Wolfgang scored a 91 while Sean Weikel rounded the top four with a 107.
Nativity was led by Stephen Karinch’s 85 while Layne Pasker finished with a 94, Harry Marks a 97, and Bo McDonald with an even 100.

It was a busy day at White Birch Golf Course with Mahanoy Area (5-5, 3-4), North Schuylkill (7-2, 5-1), Minersville (5-6, 5-3), and Pine Grove (0-11, 0-7) all meeting.
Minersville faced both Mahanoy Area and Pine Grove in league matchups while also facing North Schuylkill in a non-league matchup.
Additional non-league matchups included Mahanoy Area against Pine Grove and North Schuylkill and North Schuylkill against Pine Grove.
Leading Mahanoy Area on the day was Connor Bowman and Cam Chilinskas with scores of 78. Kale Rowan had an 85 and Colby Wagner finished with a 91.
North Schuylkill’s Jace Jackson had the best score of any golfer among those participating with a 74. Garrett Keninitz finished with an 86, while Dylan Cairo and Nico Capone both finished with scores of 87.
For Minersville, Garrett Sukeena and Emma Troutman had good days respectively with scores of 75 and 77 while Sheldon Fickes finished with a 92, Lexi Sukeena a 93.
Finally, Pine Grove’s Mason Troutman led the Cardinals with a 82. Evan Moyer and Kaiden Umbenhauer both had scores of 88 and Aaron Osatchuck ended his day with a 95.
