If you want to watch Bayern Munich on your TV, you might be out of luck

As we all navigate through week one of the Bundesliga on Fandango, we need your help with your experience on the first match day.
There were a lot of questions when Bayern Munich was going to be the opening game on the Fandango app. Would there be bandwidth issues? Would the broadcast cut out? Would the broadcast be up to the normal standard?

As far as the game playing your phone or laptop, it was perfect and there have not been any issues as of the time of this post.
Televisions, however, are a different story.
Downloading the app to a SmartTV was easy enough. From there, though, it was hit or miss.
After not having any options on a Sony television using an Amazon Fire Stick, we sounded the alarm — and did not get great news.
Fandango put out an FAQ for how to watch (because just downloading the app and finding the game would have been just too easy) and — as it turns out — the TV app might not be up and running yet for a lot of TVs.

Before watching live Bundesliga matches, please make sure you have the latest version of the Fandango Stream app installed. Some devices may require you to manually update the app through your device’s app store. If you’re still having trouble after updating, you may need to delete and reinstall the app.
If you need help updating the app or your device, please contact your device manufacturer for support.
We’re aware of an issue affecting some LG TV models from 2024 and earlier that may be unable to update the app, and we’re actively working on a resolution.

No, customers do not need to have a Fandango account to watch Bundesliga matches Live, as it is Free to Watch content.
Can I choose which Club I want to watch from the Bundesliga league?
Yes, customers may choose which Club they would like to watch previously streamed matches, and will not need a Fandango account as it is Free to Watch content.
Where can I stream Bundesliga Live on Fandango?
Bundesliga Live streaming will be available on the Fandango (stream) app*. Compatible versions are available on your favorite devices, including smartphones, tablets, streaming players, and smart TVs.

So, yes, the Bundesliga made a deal with a platform that was not even viewable on all TVs. That might have been good to know.
