Liverpool set to land Bradley Barcola from PSG after breakthrough talks ahead of Tuesday deadline

Liverpool are nearing an agreement to sign Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain with a transfer at the final stages.

Barcola has been Liverpool's leading transfer target throughout the summer as the Reds look to strengthen a forward line depleted by Mohamed Salah's exit and Hugo Ekitike's long-term Achilles injury.

Paris Saint-Germain's massive asking price for Barcola has stalled a deal, with Liverpool reluctant to meet the initial £145m asking price. However, progress has been made in negotiations andFabrizio Romano has claimed that a deal is now at the 'final stages' after discussions between both boards.

Barcola has made clear his desire to move to thePremier League and join Liverpool, as he searches for a more prominent role.

The 23-year-old's minutes were limited in the latter stages as PSG defended the Champions League last season, due to competition from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue.

A breakthrough has been described as 'imminent' between the clubs with an expectation that the move will happen before Tuesday's transfer deadline.

Barcola has scored 39 goals and 37 assists in 152 games for PSG since arriving from Lyon for a €45m in 2023. He's won 13 trophies with the Parisians, including threeLigue 1 titles and back-to-back Champions League successes.
