The joint practice session between the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles is just the gift that keeps on giving.

That is largely down to the offseason trade which saw A.J. Brown depart the Eagles for the Patriots.

Brown had been eyeing up a move away from Philadelphia for some time having grown frustrated with his role in the Eagles’ offense.

The 29-year-old wideout has now joined the 2025 Super Bowl runners-up, where he will become Drake Maye’s top target.

Having battled against Christian Gonzalez during training camp, the receiver has now been able to go up against his former teammates.

What happened during Friday’s session involving Brown went down extremely well with those in Philly.

Philadelphia Eagles post A.J. Brown fumble from Patriots join practice

Brown has gone up against Quinyon Mitchell during the joint practice, with the wideout enjoying some early success earlier in the week.

However, Friday was not quite as positive for the former Eagles receiver, with offseason acquisition Tariq Woolen forcing a dramatic fumble from Brown.

It did not take long for the Eagles to get the footage out on social media.

‘Came for the slo-mo, stayed for the 1-handed scoop,’ the Eagles team captioned their post.

The fumble was sensationally caught by linebacker Jalyx Hunt, with an incredible one-handed diving scoop.

There was a lot for Eagles fans to enjoy from that piece of joint practice footage. Undoubtedly the biggest plus was seeing their former player’s error.

Philly take on the Patriots on Saturday evening in New England, but fans should not expect to see Brown in action.

Although fans will have enjoyed seeing Brown’s mistake during practice, there were still some moments when he got the better of the Eagles’ defense.

Unfortunately the two teams do not meet in a competitive regular game later this season.
