Rejoice, everyone. After six long months of no Buffalo Bills football, the team is finally getting ready for a real game.

Sure, it's preseason, but that doesn't matter. Bills football is back!

The team opens its preseason slate with a 1pm tilt against the Carolina Panthers on Saturday, August 15 (Happy birthday to me!). But not only is it the first preseason game of the year for the Bills, but it's the first official game to take place inside the brand-new Highmark Stadium.

The team had a soft open on August 8 with the Return of the Blue & Red practice, but now there's another team to hit. And both the players and coaches can't wait.

Welcome to Bills Roundtable Podcast, Preseason Week 1 edition. If you're keeping track of the numbers, however, it's episode 43.

This week, hosts Mike Straw and Anthony Moeglin dive into the training camp surprises and disappointments. It's also time to preview the first game of the year.

What does the first depth chart look like? Who could be preseason standouts fighting for a roster spot? What's going to happen with Keon Coleman?

There's also the little thing about a new head coach. Joe Brady is coaching his first game leading Buffalo with Jim Leonhard's new defense. Though it won't be a full scheme and game prep, just how different will the Bills look on the field compared to the last nine years under Sean McDermott.

There are so many questions that need to be answered over the next month before the team heads to Houston for the first regular-season game of the year. The expectations are high, and it's time to see if the team is good enough to live up to those expectations.
