What is victory hoops?
Freedom 250 has provided limited public details about the specific games to be played. Organizers list team competitions alongside events such as kickball, dodgeball and tug of war.
One game is called victory hoops and is seemingly a basketball skills competition based on making baskets during a set time. Some media outlets have likened it to the popular arcade-style game known as pop-a-shot.
The event is scheduled to take place during the final day of Patriot Games competition.
What do we know about the Patriot Games endurance and tug-of-war challenges?
Freedom 250 describes the Patriot Games as a series of athletic challenges designed to test strength, endurance, agility, teamwork and perseverance among athletes ages 14 to 17 from across the country. Organizers have included events such as Operation Endurance, the Varsity Circuit and Tug of War as part of the multi-day competition.
While organizers have released limited public details about how some individual events are scored or structured, Freedom 250 says the competitions are intended to showcase determination, resilience and teamwork as competitors vie for a share of the Patriot Games scholarship prize pool.
