Friday Namaz Held Peacefully Near Bhojshala In MP's Dhar Amid Tight Security

Dhar (Madhya Pradesh): The Friday Namaz was offered peacefully and securely at the designated site, Survey Number 612, near the Bhojshala complex, under tightened security arranged by the Dhar district administration in compliance with the Supreme Court's directions.

The site had earlier been levelled and covered with white tents, with senior police officers inspecting arrangements and briefing security personnel.

SP Sachin Sharma thanked the worshippers, confirming the prayers concluded peacefully with attendance kept around the previously fixed limit.

He reiterated that the Supreme Court had also allowed a larger congregation to pray at alternatives like Chalis Peer Dargah or Survey No 639, if stakeholders reached consensus.

He appealed to residents to maintain peace and cooperate with the administration.

However, Abdul Samad, president of the Kamal Maula Welfare Society, said that despite a week passing, proper facilities were still lacking, with worshippers wading through mud amid overgrown weeds.

He alleged outsiders were making offensive remarks regarding the site and urged strict action, asserting that arrangements were the administration's responsibility under the Supreme Court's order.
