Mumbai RTO To Launch MH01FL Two-Wheeler Registration Series From August 10

Mumbai: The Regional Transport Office (RTO), Mumbai (Central), will introduce the new MH01FL registration series for private two-wheelers from August 10, as the existing MH01FK series is nearing exhaustion. Vehicle owners wishing to reserve a preferred or fancy registration number have been asked to submit their applications by 12 noon on August 10.

According to the RTO, applications must be submitted in the prescribed format along with the applicable fee at Counter E-11. The facility to reserve preferred registration numbers is available under the Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, on payment of the prescribed charges. If more than one applicant opts for the same number, the registration number will be allotted through an auction scheduled for 2 pm on the same day.

The reserved registration number will remain valid for 180 days, during which the vehicle must be registered. The allotted number will be activated after the reservation receipt is entered into the VAHAN-04 system during the vehicle registration process. RTO Mumbai (Central) said application forms are available at Counter E-11, where staff have also been deployed to assist applicants.
