Cubs roster move: Braxton Garrett added, Tyler Ferguson optioned

The Chicago Cubs today recalled left-handed pitcher Braxton Garrett from Triple-A Iowa. In a corresponding move, right-handed pitcher Tyler Ferguson was optioned to Iowa. Garrett was acquired on Monday from the Miami Marlins. He will wear uniform No. 60.

Ferguson, 32, is 0-1 with a 3.45 ERA (6 ER/15.2 IP), 19 strikeouts, two walks and a 0.76 WHIP in 16 relief appearances with the Cubs this season.
