These days, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf is meshing with Aaron Rodgers. But he doesn’t have a fondness for former Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin. And Metcalf threw shade at Kiffin for his messy Ole Miss exit, according to a post on X by the Pat McAfee Show.
“Who?” Metcalf said, adding a laugh. “About who? We don’t speak on nobody who ain’t inside the organization.”
Kiffin left Ole Miss after leading the team to a historic season. He bolted for LSU before last year’s College Football Playoffs.

Steelers WR DK Metcalf primed for big year?
If he does, he will likely make one NFL analyst look bad, according to the Schein Time show via steelersdepot.com.
“I don’t think the Steelers have a legit No. 1 receiver,” Adam Schein said. “I don’t consider DK Metcalf to be a top-20 wide receiver in the NFL. I don’t think Michael Pittman (Jr.) is a top-20 receiver in the NFL.”
Metcalf didn’t look like an elite receiver last year. He played 15 games but managed only 59 catches for 850 yards and six touchdowns. The yardage marked a career low. And the receptions only missed by one catch, as he had 58 grabs in his rookie year.
However, Metcalf may not even get a chance to put up big numbers, according to post-gazette.com.
“If you want to get a sense of what McCarthy’s offense will look like when it’s run well, Thursday was a decent exhibition when quick passes were made on time,” Christopher Carter wrote. “During competition periods, Rodgers connected with Metcalf, Roman Wilson, Rico Dowdle, Michael Pittman Jr., Jaylen Warren, Germie Bernard, Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington — all on different passing concepts that spread the ball around the field.”
The Steelers could have a good offense this year if Rodgers holds up for a full season. However, there’s also a chance things go the other direction and the team turns to a younger quarterback while looking to the future.
