Titans make flurry of roster moves ahead of first padded practice

It appears that general manager Mike Borgonzi and head coach Robert Saleh are going to continue to churn the bottom of the Tennessee Titans’ roster to add competition and depth.

On Sunday, the Titans made a flurry of roster moves ahead of their first padded practice on Monday by signing defensive tackle Khalen Saunders Sr., cornerback Derrick Canteen, and defensive tackle Laki Tasi (via the NFL International Player Pathway program).

To make room for these three players, the Titans waived defensive end David Ebuka Agoha, defensive tackle Cam Horsley, and recently signed safety Hudson Clark.

This move reunites Canteen with Saleh, who was with the 49ers in 2025, after he signed as an undrafted rookie free agent following the draft. The 5-foot-10, 193-pound defensive back spent the majority of his rookie season on the 49ers' practice squad.

Saunders is the most experienced of the trio signed on Sunday. A third-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019, he has bounced around the league with stints with the Chiefs, New Orleans Saints, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New York Jets, seeing action in 77 games, making 32 starts, totaling 193 tackles and 7.5 sacks in his career.

Tasi brings an interesting athletic background to the organization. Born in Samoa, he grew up playing rugby in Australia before entering the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Las Vegas Raiders. The international defensive lineman spent time on the Raiders' practice squad during the season, eventually signed a futures contract, and spent the offseason with the organization.

All three players will likely hit the field on Monday when the Titans return to work for a padded practice at Vanderbilt Football Health Center.
