Cooper DeJean walks out Morgan Wallen at Lincoln Financial Field

PHILADELPHIA — Cooper DeJean is accustomed to emerging from the tunnel at Lincoln Financial Field in an Eagles uniform. His latest entrance came under different circumstances. The All-Pro defensive back joined country music star Morgan Wallen for his concert walkout Saturday night before the final performance of Wallen’s “Still the Problem” tour. The appearance gave the Philadelphia crowd another opportunity to celebrate one of the Eagles’ most recognizable young stars.

Wallen performed at Lincoln Financial Field on Friday and Saturday to conclude a stadium tour that began in April. Brooks & Dunn, Ella Langley, Hudson Westbrook and Blake Whiten were listed among the supporting acts for the finale, according to the stadium’s event schedule.

Celebrity entrances have become a regular feature of Wallen’s performances. Former Alabama coach Nick Saban accompanied him during a late-April appearance, while Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark joined him at Lucas Oil Stadium on May 10. Ravens legend Ray Lewis handled the honors during Wallen’s recent stop at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

Myles Garrett, Connor McDavid and other prominent sports figures have also participated in Wallen’s walkouts. DeJean became the latest addition Saturday while representing the primary tenant of the Philadelphia venue.

The appearance came during a busy weekend for DeJean. Philadelphia returned to practice Saturday morning at the Jefferson Health Training Complex as the team continued its opening week of training camp.

DeJean has quickly become one of the city’s most popular athletes after helping the Eagles win Super Bowl LIX and earning First-Team All-Pro recognition. His versatility will remain central to Vic Fangio’s defense in 2026, with Philadelphia expected to use him at safety in base packages and in the slot during nickel and dime situations.

On Saturday night, however, DeJean’s assignment was much simpler. He accompanied Wallen into a packed stadium and received a reception normally reserved for Sundays.
