Sekhukhune United move home game against Durban City

The Sekhukhune home game was initially scheduled to take place at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. However, it will now be played at Seshego Stadium because of ongoing pitch maintenance at the club’s regular home ground.

SEKHUKHUNE UNITED MAKE TEMPORARY SWITCH
The playing surface at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium is currently undergoing rehabilitation work. Although progress has been made, the venue is not yet ready to host professional matches.
As a result, Sekhukhune United’s clash with Durban City has been moved to Seshego Stadium. Their following home fixture against local rivals Polokwane City will also be played at the same venue.

Following Eric Tinkler’s exit, the new head coach is former Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze. His squad must now adjust to their temporary home as they prepare for the new season. The club remains confident that supporters will turn out in large numbers to create a strong home atmosphere.
BABINA NOKO BUILD ON SOLID CAMPAIGN
Sekhukhune United finished fifth in the 2025/26 Betway Premiership with 44 points from 30 matches. They recorded 11 wins, 11 draws and eight defeats during the league campaign.
The club also reached the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals before losing to Milford FC on penalties after a 2-2 draw.
Founded in 2020 after purchasing the National First Division status of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, Sekhukhune United secured promotion to the top flight in their first season.
Named after King Sekhukhune I, the club has established itself as a competitive force in South African football, reaching the 2023 Nedbank Cup final and qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup.
