Broncos place offensive lineman on PUP list ahead of training camp

The Denver Broncos placed backup offensive lineman Nick Gargiulo on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list on Sunday, the team announced.

It's not a surprising development after Gargiulo was also sidelined this spring while recovering from a torn ACL he suffered during preseason last summer. Gargiulo spent all of the 2025 season on injured reserve, and he'll now miss at least the start of training camp as well.
Gargiulo still counts against the 91-man offseason roster, and he will become eligible to be activated off the PUP list once he has been cleared to play again.
Gargiulo (6-5, 310 pounds) was picked in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL draft out of South Carolina. He spent his rookie season on injured reserve and he was poised to compete for a backup swing center/guard role last summer before injuring his knee.
Denver also placed inside linebacker Jordan Turner on the Active/Non-Football Injury (NFI) list on Sunday. Turner, like Gargiulo, will be eligible to return to practice after he's been cleared. The team did not reveal Turner's injury.
