After Fever veteran Sophie Cunningham spoke out against transgender athletes born as men playing women's sports, Aces forward — and Cunningham's former teammate — reiterated her opposition to that stance. In doing so, she made the claim that the Fever fired a male staffer for sexual harassment last season and told players to remain quiet about the situation.

Brianna Turner alleges Fever fired male staffer for sexual harassment
In a long thread supporting transgender athletes, Turner alleged "a male staff member was fired for sexual harassment" during her time with the Fever last season.
An issue that has caused problems though? Last year on my WNBA team a male staff member was fired for sexual harassment, but we were encouraged to keep quiet about it. That is an issue. Sexism, misogyny, homophobia, and racism are all issues.

"We were encouraged to keep quiet about it," Turner said.
Turner didn't elaborate, instead turning the conversation back to transgender athletes in women's sports, but the allegation caught the attention of many fans because it hadn't previously been reported.

Fever statement on Brianna Turner allegations
The Fever issued a statement Thursday but didn't necessarily confirm Turner's allegation, instead saying, "We do not comment on personnel matters involving former employees."

"Protecting our players and employees and maintaining a respectful, professional workplace is our top priority," the Fever said, explaining that team policy is to "take concerns seriously" and "investigate thoroughly."
How long did Brianna Turner play for the Fever?
Turner only spent one season with the Fever, appearing in 27 games last season but sparingly.
The former All-Defensive forward only averaged 8.6 minutes per game with Indiana, posting 1.1 points per game. Turner is playing an average of 10.6 minutes per game with the Aces this season.
