Mumbai Hosts ‘Trashion Pe Fashion’ – A Unique Blend of Creativity and Social Responsibility

Mumbai witnessed an extraordinary celebration of creativity, sustainability, and compassion at the recently held “Trashion Pe Fashion” event, where young participants transformed waste into stunning fashion statements on the ramp.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from nearly 150 schools across Mumbai, making it one of the largest initiatives of its kind. Students showcased innovative outfits crafted entirely from recycled and waste materials, spreading a powerful message of environmental consciousness and responsible living.
What made the event truly remarkable was its strong social impact. Each participating child pledged support towards menstrual hygiene for an underprivileged girl child for an entire year, reinforcing the values of empathy, dignity, and community service among the young generation.
The event was graced by the Hon’ble Minister of Cultural Affairs, Shri Ashish Shelarji, whose presence added great prestige and encouragement to the initiative.
Other prominent guests who attended and supported the event included Dr. Aneel Kashi Murarka, Gurpreet Kaur Chadha, Mr. and Mrs. Mukund Kamat, Mr. Anil Garg, Reha Sukheja (Former First Runner-Up, Miss Universe), Mrs. Renu Sukheja (Limca Book of Records holder), Mr. Raj Sukheja, Mazbeen Khan, and Diva Dipti.
The event also witnessed the presence of several principals from prestigious schools across Mumbai, further strengthening the spirit of collaboration and support from the education community.
