A member of the "electric company" O-line for the Bills, DeLamielleure played in Buffalo from 1973 to 1979. DeLamielleure was so beloved and talented he was also on the Bills' "Ring of Honor" in their former home that is now nearly completely taken down.
But according to ABC News, the team pulled off a really nice gift for the DeLamielleure family. His name might be off the old stadium, but DeLamielleure's family will keep his name... literally.
The Bills sent DeLamielleure's name from the former "Ring of Honor" to his family, an awesome gesture.
