Brice Williams scores game-high 24 points for the Detroit Pistons

A former Nebraska guard put together another big outing in the NBA Summer League on Wednesday night. Despite the Detroit Pistons ' loss, Brice Williams led the game in scoring, totaling 24 points against the Phoenix Suns.

This is Williams' second 20-point game through just four games in the summer league. He achieved his first outing against Cleveland on Sunday, when he scored 21 points. This time around, Williams collected 24 points after shooting 7-of-13 from the floor, 3-of-6 from beyond the arc and 5-of-7 from the free throw line. He also hauled in six rebounds and four assists against the Suns.

Through four games, Williams is averaging just under 15 points and five rebounds per game. At Nebraska, he dominated in his final season, averaging 20.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game and finishing second in the Big Ten and 13th nationally in scoring. Williams scored a school-record 713 points in his senior season and became the fourth player in school history to score 1,000 points at Nebraska in two seasons.

Williams is also one of four Huskers currently competing in the NBA Summer League. Sam Hoiberg faced Williams on Wednesday night, representing the Suns. Rienk Mast is also making his mark in the summer league, compiling a firm run with the Indiana Pacers. Josiah Allick is currently with the Charlotte Hornets.
