Tennessee baseball signee Shawn Sullivan will play for the Vols next season and turn down the 2026 MLB Draft after going unselected in the first nine rounds, according to multiple reports on July 12.

Sullivan was MLB Pipeline's No. 132 prospect entering the draft and is ranked by Perfect Game as the No. 78 overall player in the class of 2026. He is a right-handed pitcher from Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and committed to Tennessee in November 2025, when he picked the Vols over Arkansas after previously being committed to Alabama.
Sullivan stands at 6-foot, 188 pounds and has a fastball consistently in the mid-90s that has reached as high as 97 miles per hour. As a senior at Walsh Jesuit, he went 3-1 with a 0.90 ERA and 89 strikeouts in 46.2 innings. His career ERA was 1.30 ERA over 145 innings with 256 strikeouts.
Sullivan will be eligible for the 2028 MLB Draft.
