The Chicago Bears defense struggled with injuries to key players last season, including two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jaylon Johnson, who missed most of the season with groin injuries.

Johnson's 2025 season was cursed before it even began as he missed the entirety of training camp and preseason due to a groin injury. He made his debut in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions, but he suffered a new groin injury in the first half that required surgery, forcing him to miss the next 10 games.
When Johnson did return to the lineup, it was clear that he wasn't himself as he recovered on the job. While he did get better as the season progressed, he wasn't the same dominant cornerback he's been in the past. Even during the offseason program, Johnson admitted that he wasn't 100 percent. But that appears to have changed.
In a video shared by Johnson's rehab specialist, Foot Doctor Moe, we get a good look at Johnson putting in the work with the caption "We back. 100%," which indicates that Chicago's star cornerback will be full go come training camp later this month.
Bears CB Jaylon Johnson, who earlier this offseason said he wasn’t 100% back from his injuries yet, seems to have progressed well based on his rehab specialist’s IG with this caption:

Johnson was a participant in Bears OTAs and mandatory minicamp last month, unlike his teammate Kyler Gordon, who continues to nurse a soft tissue injury. So Johnson appears primed to enter training camp at 100 percent.
When healthy, Johnson is one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL. Before his injury-shortened 2025 season, he had back-to-back Pro Bowl campaigns totaling six interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, and 18 pass breakups while being a focal point for opposing offenses. If Johnson can stay healthy, there's little doubt he can return to his dominant form and help Dennis Allen's defense in a big way.
