Without further ado, let’s dive into three player props worth considering for Week 5 action!

Chad Kelly, Toronto Argonauts (at Calgary Stampeders), Thursday, July 2, 9:00 p.m. ET

Bet: Over 326.5 Passing Yards (-112 on FanDuel Sportsbook)

Kelly missed all of the 2025 season due to a gruesome leg injury he suffered during the 2024 postseason, but there’s been no evidence of rust in his body of work over the first three games of the current campaign.

The Mississippi product, a 2017 fifth-round pick of the NFL’s Broncos, is averaging a whopping 396.7 passing yards per game over his first three contests while completing a career-best 70.4% of his passes and averaging a career-high 11.0 yards per attempt.

Kelly threw for 445 and 424 yards over the first two games of the season before falling just short of this prop in Week 5 with 321. However, that total came on a season-low 30 pass attempts, and the talented signal-caller could be primed for more volume in a showdown with Vernon Adams, Jr. and the Stampeders, a game carrying a massive 60.5-point projected total.

Calgary’s defense makes for a good target, considering the Stamps have surrendered 355.0 passing yards per game on a 68.2% completion rate. Calgary is also tied for the second-most completions of 30+ yards surrendered (seven), while Kelly already has nine completions of that distance through three games.

Justin Rankin, Edmonton Elks (vs. BC Lions), Saturday, July 4, 7:00 p.m. ET

Bet: Prop Pending Release by DraftKings or FanDuel Sportsbook

Rankin made some waves in preseason when he proclaimed his goal for this season was to become the first player in CFL history to compile 1,000 yards both rushing and receiving in the same season. The explosive back was thought to have at least a fighting chance, considering both his talent and opportunity as the Elks’ clear-cut lead back.

Over his first three games, Rankin has done nothing to dissuade the notion he could make history; in fact, he’s arguably augmented his chances of doing so. The Northwest Missouri State product has eclipsed 100 rushing yards in all three games, and he’s complemented those exploits with 154 receiving yards on 13 catches.

Rankin’s matchup against the Lions is actually very unappealing on paper, considering BC has allowed the third-fewest rushing yards per game (71.7) and a league-low 3.6 yards per carry. Yet, Rankin is averaging 129.0 rushing yards per game and a massive 8.4 yards per carry, and he’s already convincingly conquered one previous tough defense in that of the Alouettes.

Larry Rountree III, Hamilton Tiger-Cats (vs. Winnipeg Blue Bombers), Sunday, July 5, 7:00 p.m. ET

Bet: Prop Pending Release by DraftKings or FanDuel Sportsbook

Rountree beat the odds as a sixth-round pick of the Chargers in 2021, but he couldn’t make many waves at the NFL level over the next three seasons. The Missouri product also plied his craft at the UFL level with the Birmingham Stallions for a pair of campaigns and even won a championship there in 2024, but he was still just a complementary option.

However, the third league might be the charm for Rountree. He’s seemingly taken control of the Tiger-Cats’ ground attack as a CFL rookie and has quickly gained 209 rushing yards at 4.3 yards per carry while adding seven receptions for 30 yards over his first three games. Rountree is averaging a robust 18.7 touches per contest as well, affording him more opportunity by far than he’d previously seen as a pro.

On paper, Rountree’s Week 5 matchup is impeccable. The opposing Blue Bombers have been the league’s most generous team against the run, allowing a league-high 154.3 rushing yards and doing so at 5.6 yards per carry. Winnipeg has also conceded a league-high 39 rushing first downs, as well as a co-league-high six rushing touchdowns.

Check back soon for the exact Rountree prop we’ll be honing in on once that is made available by either DraftKings or FanDuel Sportsbook.
