So the Chris Paddack Era was a brief one. Paddack was brought in as a temp to handle a bulk assignment behind Tyler Alexander yesterday, and now has been DFA’d. Presumably, Paddack knew that this was a one shot deal. As an Austin native, I would suspect that he expressed a willingness to join the Round Rock Express rotation once he clears waivers. Round Rock is in rather dire need of starting pitchers right now.

Collyer rejoins a bullpen that is lacking in late inning — and middle inning — options. He got off to a good start when he was first called up, but then struggled to throw strikes, something that has been a bugaboo for him throughout his career.
