Former SDSU hoops standouts Oscar Cluff, William Kyle III go undrafted

A pair of former South Dakota State players — Oscar Cluff and William Kyle III — went undrafted in the 2026 NBA Draft.

Cluff spent this past season at Purdue after a year in Brookings in 2024-25. He was at Washington State in 2023-24 and played for Cochise College, a junior college, from 2021 to 2023.
The 7-foot Cluff, from Sunshine Coast, Australia, averaged 17.6 points and 12.3 rebounds as a Jackrabbit while shooting 63.4% from the field. He posted 10.6 points and 7.5 boards per game on 68.3% shooting for Purdue this season.
Kyle spent his first two collegiate seasons, 2022-23 and 2023-24, at South Dakota State. He then went to UCLA for a season and played below 10 minutes per game before breaking out at Syracuse in the 2025-26 season.
Kyle, standing 6-foot-9 from Bellevue, Nebraska, scored 8.4 points per game, grabbed 7.1 rebounds per game and blocked 2.5 shots per night at Syracuse while shooting 66.1% from the field. He averaged 11.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.4 blocks on 59.0% shooting as a Jackrabbit.
