Rosenior left Strasbourg back in January. The previous season, he had led Le Racing into the UEFA Europa Conference League. He impressed at the Meinau and earned himself a move to Chelsea. He wouldn’t last the season at Stamford Bridge, however.
Rosenior was then replaced by O’Neil. The former Wolverhampton Wanderers and AFC Bournemouth manager started strongly, but then, following a dip in league form, opted to focus on qualifying for next season’s European competitions through cup competitions. However, Strasbourg were knocked out in the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League and the Coupe de France.
Post-season, he was snapped up by Ipswich Town, who have returned to the Premier League. It means that, for the second time in just over six months, Strasbourg are in the market for a new manager. L’Équipe understands that they could once again look to appoint a Brit.
Le Racing will look to appoint a new manager within the next 10 days. The Ligue 1 club want someone in place by the time pre-season begins on 8th July.
