Massive updates on future of 8 Bayern Munich youngsters
· Yahoo Sports
Bayern Munich’s youth program and scouting has been improving greatly in recent years, leading to a season in which 10 academy players were given their debuts. There are plenty more at the FC Bayern Campus, however, that are on the precipice of taking that final step into professional football. A report by Bild reporter Nicolas Linner (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) updates their status heading into the 2026 transfer window:

Noel Aséko Nkili, CM/CAM
• Noël Aséko: Internally, the 20-year old has supporters who want him to become fourth midfielder in the first team next season. Nevertheless, a sale remains a possibility, with Eintracht Frankfurt interested. No final decision yet.
Maycon Cardozo, LW/CAM
Maycon Cardozo: the Brazilian winger will get a chance to impress during pre-season. A decision on his future will be made afterwards.
It is still unbelievable how the Bayern World Squad not only produced a player ripe for the academy but also good enough to be one of the 10 academy players to make his debut for the senior team in the 2025/26 season. Remember, Cardozo signed for the Bayern U-19s in January 2025. His progress in the last 18 months, despite missing multiple months through injury, has been extraordinary.
Is he ready to be integrated into the senior team after just 6 months in the U-23s? Conventional wisdom suggests he is not, but there is a need for a winger on the left of the attack and many were sure 2025 was too soon for Lennart Karl. There could be a spot open for him.
Felipe Chávez, CM/CAM
Felipe Chávez: will return to Bayern after Köln decided against activating their option to buy. He’s expected to be loaned out again to another club – possibly with an option to buy and a buyback clause. There are also interested parties for a permanent transfer.
The Peru international showed flashes of quality for FC Köln in the Bundesliga, but it was not enough to reach 100 minutes of football in the Bundesliga Rückrunde. Now he and the Bavarians need to evaluate if the step to the Bundesliga was too big for him or if another go at a more stable club will see Chávez enjoy more success.
Julien Yanda, LB
Julien Yanda: the 18-year old left-back is set for a loan move to get a first experience in professional football.
Julien Yanda is likely the least known player on the list. Signed in January 2025 from St. Pauli as one of the leading LB talents of German football and having made his squad debut for the then-Bundesliga side, Yanda has struggled to take the next step in the subsequent 18 months of Regionalliga football with the U-23s. Perhaps a loan move and a different environment will be the right catalyst for growth.
Guido Della Rovere, CAM
Guido della Rovere: the Italian attacking midfielder’s dream is to make his Bayern first team debut in 2026/27. Only if there is absolutely no prospect of that would a departure be an option.
Della Rovere was not one of the 10 players who made their first team debut in the 2025/26 season, despite appearing in the squad a few times. An injury late in the season scuppered any remaining chances of first team football. The attacking midfielder enjoyed his strongest season yet at Bayern, accumulating 14 G/A in 24 games for the U-23s, though he suffered a drop off in the latter half of the season.
An integration into the senior team seems as unlikely as a continued stay with the U-23s and he could be another that could benefit from a new environment. But, with big Italian teams interested in the former Cremonese player and Della Rovere’s contract expiring in 2027, he could also permanently leave.
Arijon Ibrahimović, CAM/LW/RW
Arijon Ibrahimović: depending on the squad/transfers, the versatile attacker could become a backup option for the first team. Otherwise, he would leave the club on a permanent basis.
Thoughts are thoroughly discussed here.
Deniz Ofli, LB
Deniz Ofli: Due to the strong competition at left-back, he’s set for a loan move.
The Türkiye U-21 international impressed last season, first as captain of the U-19s and then, come the winter, as a regular starter for the U-23s. He needs a new challenges to keep growing, but Bayern Munich have Alphonso Davies and seem set to sign Nathaniel Brown. There is no space in the senior squad for him. A loan move makes sense for all parties.
David Santos Daiber, CDM/CM
David Santos Daiber: The talented midfielder is working his way back to full fitness after suffering a torn hamstring in May. His future is therefore still uncertain. Before the injury, a loan move for next season was already being discussed.
Another who made his senior team debut as well as be promoted to the U-23s in the winter, Daiber passed every challenge before his injury and subsequent re-injury in May. A loan move could make sense for Daiber but only if he recovers in time.
