Well. If one Indiana born-and-raised NBA figure as a tantalizing would-be savior for the Indiana University men’s basketball program wasn’t enough for you, now there’s two, apparently.

Dusty May, who was born in Terre Haute and attended Eastern Greene High School in Bloomfield before graduating from IU after working as a student manager under head coach Bob Knight, has been hired as the next head coach of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, of which fellow IU alumnus Mark Cuban is a minority owner. Was that an overly long sentence? Yes. Did it serve a purpose? Also yes.

So, in all seriousness, now that May is out of both the Big Ten and college basketball altogether, what are your thoughts? Are you glad to not see him roaming the Assembly Hall sideline every so often so you can wonder “what if”? Or are you disappointed that the conference got a little weaker today?
