Colorado embracing doubters as Deion Sanders enters 2026 season
· Yahoo Sports
Since Colorado hired Deion Sanders in December of 2022, expectations have been raised, but aside from the 9-4 2023 season, they largely have not been met.

Sanders and the Buffaloes are trying to change that this season, embracing the negativity and using it as motivation.
Phillip Dukes from The Scoop with Dukes podcast joined the DNVR Buffs crew to talk about his recent visit to Boulder and shared his thoughts on the vibe in the building for Colorado.
Put in cleaner terms, Dukes said CU is having a "Screw 'em" type vibe.
"You hear what people are saying, you read the headlines, we are seeing the naysayers, we are seeing everything that you could possible say about this program," Dukes said about Colorado's mentality. "Why we won't win, why recruiting sucks, why Boulder is not a destination program."

The Buffs have adopted the right attitude, focusing on themselves and not letting outside negative opinions overtake their belief.
Colorado could do with some lighter expectations, and that seems to be the case heading into the season, with the program's projected win total the lowest in the Big 12.
But make no mistake about it, Sanders' program wants to win and is set up to do so in 2026, but it is taking any criticism in stride.
