Best No. 88 in Steelers history: WR Lynn Swann
The Super Bowl X MVP himself, Lynn Swann is without a doubt the greatest Steeler to wear No. 88.
Selected by the Steelers in the first round of the 1974 NFL Draft, Swann went on to record 5,462 yards and 51 touchdowns during his nine-year career. He won four Super Bowls with Pittsburgh and was bestowed many accolades, such as being named the NFL Man of the Year in 1981, earning three First-Team All-Pro selections and three Pro Bowl honors, and being named to the NFL 1970s All-Decade Team. And who could forget his electric 161-yard and one-touchdown performance against the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl X?
Entering the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001, Swann changed the game as fans knew it and is the best Steeler to ever wear No. 88.
