The big question though, is in a little less than 12 months time what is the minimum that would represent success in the 2026/27 Premier League season?

Conclusions

Thanks to everyone who voted and as you can see, some real extremes. With 3% going for 17th and the lowest position that still equals Premier League survival, whilst only winning the title will be enough for 1% of the Newcastle United fans voting (to get 1% there needs to be at least 0.51% of the total vote for that choice)

For the vast majority though, a place in the Premier League that guarantees European football is seen as a minimum to equal success. Of those who voted, 88% of Newcastle United fans selecting somewhere between 4th and 7th.

With 8th going for 4th which absolutely guarantees Champions League qualification, 26th voting 5th which very likely will give Champions League, then 38% and 16% voting for positions 6th and 7th which both should give entry to one of the other European competitions.
