COMMITMENT: Texas football lands four-star 2027 EDGE Jabarrius Garror

The Texas Longhorns added to an already strong 2027 defensive recruiting class on Friday with the commitment of four-star 2027 EDGE Jabarrius Garror. The Mobile, Alabama prospect is the third EDGE commitment in the 2027 Longhorns class.

UT has also gained commitments from Cameron Hall and Derwin Fields. Both are four-stars and both play EDGE. The Horns also have a commitment from DB Greedy James and LB Cade Haug.
Garror had 106 tackles and 21 sacks as a junior last season at Vigor High School. The 21 sacks is an incredible number, no matter the competition. He had 21.5 sacks as a sophomore.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound lineman is one of the most coveted prospect in the country, with 30 offers, including 13 from the SEC. He was seriously considering Auburn, Georgia and Florida State before picking Texas. Garror initially committed to Alabama in the summer of 2024 before reopening his recruitment a couple months ago.
