A brand of milk has been recalled in Costco stores across Canada.

According to a notice on Costco’s website , Lactantia UltraPur 2% 20g Protein & Lactose Free Milk 2 Litre (Costco Item 1987085) is affected.

The milk product, which is sold exclusively at Costco, is being recalled due to “observed over-fortification of Vitamin A and D compared to the recommended daily intake limit which may represent a food safety risk,” the notice reads.

Lactalis Canada issued the voluntary recall of the product that has an expiry date of June 22, 2026, which would have been purchased between May 2026 and June 2026 at a Costco warehouse or Costco Business Centre.

Customers who bought the milk have been advised not to consume, serve, use, sell or distribute the product.

“If you have any concerns or have symptoms, please consult your doctor,” Lactalis added.

The company noted that the recall is limited to this one specific milk and the lot identified, while all other Lactantia Ultrapur products are not affected.

The milk can be returned to any Costco warehouse for a full refund.
