What will OU softball's roster look like in 2027? Breaking down Sooners' potential lineup

NORMAN — It was an unfamiliar last week for Oklahoma softball, watching the Women's College World Series from home after falling short of making it to Oklahoma City for the first time since 2015.
The Sooners' loss to Mississippi State in the Super Regional round has forced coach Patty Gasso and her staff to have long talks, "reset" and "get back to the championship mindset," she told KREF earlier this week.

OU brings in a stacked freshman class next season, but the transfer portal will be every bit as important as the Sooners will look to fill holes and get back to OKC in 2027.
OU has lost Tia Milloy, Berkley Zache and Riley Zache to the portal thus far. The Sooners will almost certainly look to add a pitcher and a backup catcher through the portal and potentially an infielder to compete at first or second base.
With the WCWS over after Texas claimed its second consecutive national title and the transfer portal set to open Monday, here's a way-too-early look at what OU's lineup could look like in 2027.
