‘Expect another exponential jump’ from the Chicago Bears’ offense
· Yahoo Sports
The vibe coming out of Halas Hall right now is mostly positive about the Chicago Bears, and I’m not just talking about the Bears’ social media team hyping the squad. The local beat has been more glass-half-full, and the national media has been optimistic all offseason.
I get it’s just May 29, and we’re talking about a few OTAs in shorts and shells, but if the reports were slanted negatively, the freak out would be dominating the headlines.

The NFL Network’s Stacey Dales did a segment earlier today, and you can count her among those buying what she’s seeing and hearing about the Bears.
“We saw an exponential jump last season with this offense under Ben Johnson in the development of Caleb Williams,” Dales said, “I expect another exponential jump.”
Chicago’s offense was among the league’s worst in 2024 (dead last in yards), but under Johnson’s leadership in 2025, this was a top 10 unit in just about every metric imaginable, so why wouldn’t expectations for year two be higher?
“They understand the concepts, they understand the verbiage. They understand what worked last year, didn’t work last year, and they added pieces.”

Ben Johnson’s #Bears are worlds ahead of where they were last year at this time. Expect another exponential jump from Caleb Williams and the offense this season…@nflnetwork#DaBearspic.twitter.com/wNbVi8FvFy
