The Bulldogs (43-19) defeated the No. 3 seed Sooners (52-10) 6-0 at Love's Field on May 24. With the win, Mississippi State is advancing to the Women's College World Series for the first time.
The Bulldogs celebrated their achievement by jumping into a pool fully clothed. A video posted to social media shows coaches and players still in their uniforms leaping into the water and splashing around with big smiles on their faces.

In its win over Oklahoma, Mississippi State gave the Sooners their first shutout since 2019 thanks to a three-hitter by Delainey Everett. The Bulldogs also snapped Oklahoma's streak of making nine consecutive WCWS appearances.
Mississippi State will make its WCWS debut on May 28 (11 a.m. CT, ESPN) against No. 11 seed Texas Tech at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.
The Bulldogs also played the Red Raiders in last year's NCAA Tournament, losing 9-6 in the regional finals in Lubbock, Texas.
