Man Arrested For Running Online Gaming Betting Racket In Indore

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The city crime branch arrested a man involved in running an online gaming betting racket in the city, police said on Saturday.
According to the police, the suspect was identified as Shubham Yadav, a resident of the Aerodrome area. Acting on a tip-off, the crime branch team conducted a raid at a location in the Dharmaraj Nagar area and caught Yadav. During the search, police seized devices and resources linked to online betting.

During questioning, the suspect allegedly revealed that he was operating betting activities through a website. He used to provide users with login IDs and passwords after taking payment. He also provided virtual coins on the platform, allowing people to participate in gambling.
Police investigation found transactions worth lakh of rupees on his mobile phone, indicating large-scale involvement in the illegal activity. A case has been registered against him under relevant sections of the Public Gambling Act, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and Information Technology (IT) Act.
