Pundit: Nobody in football “thought Liam Rosenior was the right person for Chelsea”

Former England international Paul Scholes has claimed that nobody in and around football thought Liam Rosenior was the right hire for Chelsea.

Visit esporist.com for more information.

And I actually think he’s right. Not one person thought Rosenior was ready to make such a big step up to manage one of the biggest clubs around, from what little experience he had gotten on board already.

EXCLUSIVE! Two NEW manager names that have not been reported anywhere else, added to Chelsea’s shortlist!! 👀

It was quite sad in the end, with Rosenior turning into a real laughing stock. But he should never have been put in that position in the first place, and that is firmly on Chelsea’s owners and sporting directors who decided that he would be a good idea. It was a ridiculous idea and I still can’t quite believe that they did it. It might be one of their worst decisions ever so far, and there have been many of those.

Scholes on Rosenior being hired

Paul Scholes speaking on The Overlap Fan Debate.

In quotes picked up on X this week, Scholes said on The Overlap show:

“Other than the [Chelsea] owners, nobody else in and around football thought Liam Rosenior was the right person for Chelsea. It was just crazy for me.

“Once you make that decision, what is Liam going to do? He is not going to say no to a Chelsea job from where he was.”

In other news today…

Blues midfielder Romeo Lavia spoke this week about the Chelsea’ title chances and what he and his teammates thought about Calum McFarlane.

Liam Rosenior will get a lot of money from Chelsea after they sacked him, but it won’t be close to the full value of his deal. The BBC have broken it all down for us.
