With the 93rd pick of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Rams selected Missouri tackle Keagen Trost. The Rams announced Trost as a tackle, but others see him as a guard. It’s something that the team must address in either case because of how many free agent offensive linemen they have in 2027: Steve Avila, Kevin Dotson, Warren McClendon, and Coleman Shelton.

Trost appears to be a pick that the Rams would like to develop over the next year into somebody who could replace one of those players in the starting lineup in 2027.

He spent an incredible seven years in college, starting at Morgan State in 2019, transferring to Indiana State in 2020, then spending 2024 at Wake Forest prior to one more stop at Missouri. Lance Zierlein projected Trost as a fourth round pick:

Seventh-year senior with 42 starts between four different schools. Trost’s improvement from 2024 to 2025 was obvious on tape. Battles against Missouri’s Zion Young and Damon Wilson II got him game-ready to handle his work against good SEC competition. He has a broad, proportional build and plays with good body control/firmness through contact. Pro edge speed could push him inside to guard, where his tackle experience and ability to play in gap or zone scheme are differentiators. Position versatility, toughness and a ready-made frame give Trost a chance to eventually become a starter.

With Trost in the fold, the Rams now have added three offensive players in the draft: QB Ty Simpson, TE Max Klare, and Trost.
