As the initial buzz surrounding the pick begins to settle, attention now turns from reaction to evaluation. Who are the Saints getting in Tyson? And how much of an impact can he realistically make in Year 1?

While the true measure of this selection won’t be known until years from now, early impressions are always important to share. Based on the player’s talent, positional value, and overall fit within the team, it’s time to hand out an initial grade for the Saints’ first-round pick.

Grade: B+
