Michigan State football post spring depth chart analysis: Quarterbacks
· Yahoo Sports
Michigan State football has completed the spring practice schedule and are now moving their focus to summer conditioning before the start of fall camp. With the first spring of the Pat Fitzgerald era in East Lansing coming to an end, the coaching staff should have a ton of clarity on where things stand with their depth chart heading into the fall.
For the Spartans, it is interesting to look at this new roster, and how the pieces may fall before the season opener against Toledo. Spartans Wire is going to attempt to piece the depth chart together, analyzing how we think the new roster will unfold in a depth chart manner.

The first position group up is the quarterbacks, which quite frankly, may be the most cut and dry group in East Lansing. Especially after Fitzgerald's recent comments, we have a good pulse on what this might look like:
- 1st string: Alessio Milivojevic (Rs Soph)
- 2nd string: Cam Fancher (GR)
- 3rd string: Leo Hannan (Rs FR) OR Kayd Coffman (FR)
Fitzgerald noted that Milivojevic is this teams starting quarterback going into the season, and that makes this as cut and dry as it can be. Veteran backup transfer Fancher will provide the team with experience behind Milivojevic, while Coffman and Hannan are the young guys jockeying for their position in the room.
