Longhorns Daily News: Unlike other schools, apparently, Texas football players consistently attend class
· Yahoo Sports
Second tenured Texas defensive coordinator Will Muschamp spilled the beans most of us are already well aware of in the world of college athletics, and that’s that student-athletes are usually more athletes than they are students during their time on respective campuses. But that’s supposedly not the case in Austin, where Muschamp recently bragged on how the program’s players are the type to consistently attend their classes.
“Somebody that embraces work ethic, somebody that wants to improve and get better every single day, somebody that wants to get coached hard and developed. In our society right now, sometimes that’s easy to spot that they don’t, and we’ve got to make sure we stay away from those guys who don’t want to get developed and coached the right way … (They’ve) got to have a good transcript. Actually, our players go to school here at Texas. We actually go to class. Not like some other places,” Muschamp told reporters, according to FanSided.
