San Francisco Giants fans came into the new season with newfound hope. After being a .500 team over the last four years, they were ready for things to change and to be a serious postseason contender this season.

However, they have had quite a difficult time getting anything going early into the new season. The offense has not really shown up, and the pitching staff has had its fair share of problems.

It has led to a 6-10 start, and they share last place in the NL West with the Colorado Rockies.

One of the biggest stories for this team this year has been their inability to push runs across the board. Outside of the Chicago White Sox, they have the lowest runs per game mark at 3.19.

That's crazy to think about when this team's offense consists of guys like Rafael Devers, Matt Chapman, Willy Adames, and Luis Arraez.

They desperately need to start figuring it out at the plate and doing it soon. They can't afford to dig themselves too deep a hole to climb out of at this point in the season.

Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter tags the Giants as the fifth-worst team across MLB at this point, and sets the stage for a possible Robbie Ray departure if they continue to spiral.

"The Giants have plated three or fewer runs in 10 of their 16 games this season, but they managed to outscore the Philadelphia Phillies by a 15-6 margin to pick up their second series win of the year. Veteran Robbie Ray could be one of the prizes of the summer trade market if they don't get back on a contention track."

Ray could be on the trade market if the Giants can't figure it out. And he would likely have plenty of suitors as he has pitched well this year, holding a 2-1 record with a 2.08 ERA and 18 strikeouts on 17.1 innings of work.
