Barella’s Impressive Form In Italian Football

Barella is having a decent campaign at the Milan club as he has put in a string of impressive displays for them in the middle of the park. The 29-year-old has found the back of the net once and picked up eight assists in 36 matches for Inter Milan this season across all fronts.

The Italian talent is currently one of the best central midfielders in Serie A. Thus, Liverpool would do well to lure him to Anfield this off-season.

His current contract at San Siro will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Reds to sign him on a cut-price deal at the end of this campaign.

What Will Barella Bring To Liverpool?

Barella is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when required and is a tidy passer as well.

The Italian talent can shoot the ball with venom from long range and can contribute by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his team from midfield. He is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a defensive midfielder or play in the number ten position if asked to do so by his manager.

However, it remains to be seen whether Barella can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Reds manage to snap him up this summer. Still, we can expect him to bring more quality and depth to Liverpool‘s midfield department. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at Anfield next season.

At 29, Barella is playing in his prime, which makes him a worthy target for the Reds to consider in the upcoming transfer period. All in all, the Merseyside club would be wise to go all out to acquire the services of the Inter Milan midfielder later this year.
