The deal went through on Wednesday with the Washington Nationals, according to The Athletic's Spencer Nusbaum -- it brings southpaw Jake Eder to L.A.
Eder was recently designated for assignment by the Nats to remove him from the 40-man roster, but the Dodgers pounced on the opportunity to add him to their team instead.
Eder, 27, was a fourth-round pick by the Miami Marlins in the 2020 MLB Draft out of Vanderbilt.
He has pitched in nine major league games across the past two seasons.
In 2024, Eder threw 2.0 innings for the White Sox and had a 4.50 ERA.
In 2025, he threw 18.1 innings for the Angels and had a 4.91 ERA.

Eder has struck out 7.1 batters per nine innings in his MLB career while walking 4.4 per nine innings. That's not a ratio that will help him stick around very long.
This spring, Eder was solid for Washington, with a 2.70 ERA in 6.2 innings with six strikeouts (but also a concerning six walks).
If he can get his control to improve, Eder is a lanky lefty, which always has the potential to be useful.
If Eder can't get the walks down, though, he may end up traveling a journeyman path through the fringes of the major leagues.
