Kellen Moore on Titans' Alontae Taylor: 'he''ll have a huge impact'

· Yahoo Sports

The Tennessee Titans made a splash when they added three new cornerbacks in the opening days of free agency in Cor’Dale Flott, Alontae Taylor, and Joshua Williams to a room that desperately needed an influx of talent. Those three veterans will join Marcus Harris in the new-look secondary and should be an upgrade for what the team has had over the past couple of seasons.

On Monday, ESPN’s Titans correspondent Turron Davenport caught up with New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore at the NFL League Meetings to ask about Taylor and what he will bring to the Titans in 2026, and the coach didn’t hesitate to share his thoughts.

“His versatility is obviously beneficial — his ability to play inside and outside. He’s a really talented corner.” Moore said. “His best football’s probably ahead of him. I think he’s gonna play some really good football for them and have a huge impact.”

Taylor is a versatile cornerback with inside-outside versatility who should become a weapon in Robert Saleh’s defense. Taylor will likely start his career with the Titans on the outside, and then potentially flex into the slot on occasion, where his ability to play in the run game and ability to blitz will be an asset.
