Considering he is LeBron James' son, people will always keep a close eye on him. Despite all the criticism he has faced throughout his two years in the professional ranks, he has received support for his development from his teammates and coaches, like JJ Redick.

Redick loves what he is seeing from Bronny James recently

When he was in high school, Bronny was a four-star recruit. That means people had their eyes on him, and he was living up to the hype. He got into college basketball to play for USC, but he had to go through plenty of injury issues.

That lowered his stock ahead of the 2024 Draft. He fell to the late second round, but was still criticized as a nepotism hire. Since then, Bronny has exceeded expectations for players picked that late in the Draft. He has developed well within the Lakers' system and is progressing.

Against the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday, Bronny played 13 minutes. He contributed with four points, one rebound, one assist, and two steals. It is not a performance that jumps off the page, but it was an important one because the Lakers only won by seven points.

Coach Redick was pleased to see it because he knows how hard Bronny has been working behind the scenes and in the G-League.

"He’s gotten significantly better. Our staff has a lot of confidence in him. Felt like this was a game where we really needed him," Redick said after the Lakers' win against the Pacers.

Redick also made sure to commend how Bronny has improved his defense, athleticism, and confidence in his jump shot. That is a great developmental work from the Lakers' coaching staff, and Bronny himself deserves all the credit in the world for working hard amid all the pressure he's under.
