The 6-foot-4 native of Sherwood, Ore., led Iowa with 17.4 points per game on 64.7% shooting. Heiden added 7.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.2 steals per game this season.

Heiden's 64.7% field goal shooting ranks second in the Big Ten and No. 3 nationally. She is also the 10th player in program history to shoot 64% or better from the floor during a single season.

Alongside Heiden as Honorable Mentions by the USBWA are Shay Ciezki (Indiana), Jazzy Davidson (USC), Maggie Doogan (Richmond), Raven Johnson (South Carolina ), Liv McGill (Florida), Cotie McMahon (Ole Miss), Brooklyn Meyer (South Dakota State), and Clara Strack (Kentucky).

As the offensive engine of the Hawkeyes squad, she has certainly become the dominant post player that Jan Jensen has been known to develop over her tenure at Iowa, both as an assistant and now as head coach.

Heiden is now the first Hawkeye since Caitlin Clark in 2024 to be named a USBWA All-American.

Second-seeded Iowa (26-6, 15-3 Big Ten) will begin NCAA Tournament play against No. 15 seed Fairleigh Dickinson (30-4, 18-0 Northeast Conference) on Saturday, March 21 at 3 p.m. CT, from Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The first-round matchup between the Hawkeyes and Knights will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
